History

DCB Bank was opened with a a scheduled commercial bank licence from the Reserve Bank of India in 1995. From 160 branches in 2015, DCB bank has expanded to 336 branches.

The Bank's origin are found in Mumbai and it was incorporated after a series of mergers. The co-operative banks that merged include Masalawala Co-operative Bank and Ismailia Co-operative Bank. These banks formed Development Co-operative Bank which was later converted into DCB after RBI granted the license in May 1995.

Its IPO came in 2006. The bank's name was changed to DCB Bank Limited due to a regulatory approval in 2014.

Awards and Recognition

DCB Bank bagged the runner up award of the Best Small Bank in India by Businessworld Magna Awards in 2018. It also got Good Corporate Citizen Award 2017- 2018, by Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
