State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) is one of the major Indian bank. It is now a subsidiary of the State Bank of India whose merge was occurred in the year 2017, 31st march. By 2015, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) had more than 1300 branches which was mostly located in Rajasthan in India. It has a wide range of branch networks beyond Rajasthan that has managed to cover different business centres in India. In the year, 1997 the bank later entered the capital market with the public offers of 136000 shared for which the premium cost Rs. 440 per share.

History

State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur was stated in the year 1963. This bank was named after two banks got merged together State Bank of Bikaner (established in 1944) and State Bank of Jaipur (established in 1943). Currently, both the banks are the subsidiaries of the State bank of India.

In the year 1966, the State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur overtook Govind bank private limited which was founded in the year 1963.

In the year 1984 the State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur sponsored Ganganagar Kshetriya Gramin Bank and later in 1985, it opened Bikaner Kshetriya Gramin Bank.

In the year 2006, the bank then merged its regional rural bank which were sponsored under the name of MGB Gramin bank whose headquarter was located in Jodhpur.

Acquisition

The bank managed merged with the State bank of India which resulted in much use of digitalization while changes in the OFSC codes.
